One alarm that repeats each day
R7 is a good fit when your usual wake time stays the same. Stopping that day’s alarm does not mean you need to rebuild the routine for tomorrow. It is less convenient when you need distinct weekday and weekend times saved at once.
Light timing and brightness are separate choices
Choose from seven sunrise lengths between five and sixty minutes, then choose a finishing light level. Turning the light setting off lets you use sound alone. A longer transition starts earlier; it does not automatically make the final light brighter.
A useful pair of dimmer controls
Separate controls for the lamp and time display let you adjust each for the bedroom. That is more useful than assuming a darkened time display will also switch the main light off. Check the gallery for the controls you would reach from bed.
What the backup does
R7 is a plug-in alarm. Retaining settings across an outage is different from powering the light and sound during one. Keep an independent backup for an important start if losing outlet power is a concern.
Living with REACHER R7
Do you need the app version instead?
Choose R7APP when multiple app-managed routines would save you repeated alarm changes. Stay with R7 when the point of a separate clock is keeping setup off your phone. The wood and other finish variants are style choices, not separate alarm systems.
Bedtime sound without overstating the timer
R7 offers sounds and an automatic shutoff timer. Buy it for those documented bedtime functions, rather than assuming a timed shutoff will always produce a gradual sunset.
